Coldplay is one of the most booming alternative/rock bands of industry today, they have teased up all year with spot festival dates but now on April 17 they will launch tour for North American after three years they will hit the stage in Edmonton for the promotion of their new album “Mylo Xyloto”. Coldplay has been nominated for three Grammy awards –won two for “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall” and one for “Paradise”. The band will kick off tour from April to August in U.S.A and Canada.
If you missed the chance to get any Coldplay concert appearance previously, singer Chris Martin committed the new Xyloto songs will fit in with their soaring list, but might also feel a bit…. different. He told to MTV news that “It’s definitely a schizophrenic album … it keeps changing sounds,” That’s why we called it such a strange thing, Mylo Xyloto. Because we felt like so many people have already made up their minds about us, both good and bad, that we can sort of start again from scratch and try and reflect all the music we listen to and we love.”
Along with this, this touring band will also perform in two massive shows at Hollywood Bowl in L.A on May 1st and 2nd. L.A. Times pop music critic Randall Roberts panned the album on its release in October, saying it “sees the most appealingly unoriginal band of the ’00s continuing on its path of least resistance.”
Coldplay are usually best experienced live because of the swooping choruses, mandatory crowd chanting and for plenty of space so that several hundred lighter/ iPhone can light up the large arena. So this for the diehard fans to book tickets online instead stand in a long queue to procure tickets.
